Day 13: Yosemite
Hi America! We are the Sneezys and we are your new bloggers!
We started off our day, early as usual, departing from
Lakeside Presbyterian Church in San Francisco. After packing the vehicles we
set off for a long journey to Yosemite National Park.
On the way to Yosemite we
experienced many beautiful sights even though most people took naps. After the
first stop at Wal-Mart, the vehicles reeked of McDonalds and exhaustion. We
then continued onward North, while dreams of mail and good food was in our
heads.
Finally,
the enormous Sequoia trees of Yosemite National Park greeted us. We then made
our way to the Grizzly Giant, a strenuous .7-mile hike, to a breathtaking
marvel.
We then made our way to Inspiration Point where we took in the
beautiful views of the valley and the distant waterfall.
After loading up the
bus we ventured to Bridalveil Falls where we approached the once distant view.
After a long day of breathtaking views we arrived at our campsite for the
night. After arriving in our Yosemite campsite, we enjoyed dinner of Man-wich
(sloppy Joe’s) and tater tots. We feared the bears and mosquitos as we embraced
the cold.
We wrapped up in blankets and sleeping bags and watched the shooting
stars. Tomorrow, we will head into Salt Lake City, Utah.
